Why language matters in primary care
Describing symptoms, understanding a new diagnosis or following medication instructions is much easier in your own language. Patients who fully understand their care are more likely to take medicines correctly and keep follow-up visits, which matters most for long-term conditions.
Care that fits our community
Edison and the surrounding towns are home to one of the largest South Asian communities in the United States. South Asian adults develop type 2 diabetes and heart disease at younger ages and lower body weights than many other groups, so early screening and good control are especially important. Anil Singh, MD is a board certified internist whose focus is preventing and delaying chronic disease, including diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
Everyone is welcome
